ENGINEFord is recalling certain 2025-2026 Bronco vehicles equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine. The connecting rod may fracture due to a manufacturing defect, which can lead to engine seizure or internal damage.
Consequence: A fractured connecting rod can cause loss of engine power without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. Engine seizure may also result in oil leakage onto hot surfaces, creating a fire hazard.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the complete 2.3L engine assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters expected to be mailed June 30, 2026.
