3A. API & Data Use
The following terms apply to all use of the CarVector API and the vehicle data, images, recall information, diagnostic references, and provenance metadata it returns ("CarVector Data").
3A.1 No Caching or Redistribution Below the Business Tier
Free, Developer, and Pro plan subscribers may not cache, store, replicate, warehouse, or redistribute CarVector Data beyond transient in-memory caching for the duration of a single end-user session. Systematic downloading, scraping, or bulk collection of CarVector Data is prohibited on these plans. Persistent storage, caching rights, and bulk export are available on the Business and Enterprise tiers.
3A.2 No Competing Use
You may not use CarVector Data to develop, train, maintain, or operate any API, dataset, or service that competes with CarVector — whether offered on our platform or elsewhere. This includes repackaging, reselling, redistributing, or otherwise making CarVector Data accessible in any form that would substitute for the CarVector Services.
3A.3 Usage Monitoring & Audit
CarVector may monitor API usage for compliance. Automated bulk retrieval, systematic enumeration of vehicle identifiers, or request patterns inconsistent with a subscriber's stated use case may result in rate limiting, suspension, or termination. Verified search and AI crawlers operating within their published guidelines are exempt.
